Kaya Chikitsa:
Kaya chikitsa deals with general diseases including skin disorder, tuberculosis, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis. According to this therapy disease is the caused of imbalance in trisdosa. Kayachikitsa uses herbal and holistic medicines. This therapy is mainly based on agni. There are six steps in this therapy for curing disease including aggravation, accumulation, overflow, relocation, build up in a new site and manifestation. A very significant treatment in kayachikitsa is panchkarma, which purifies the body from vitiated doshas. Rejuvenation is also a very important step of kayachikitsa, also called as kaya kalpa, deals with rewnewing the whole body including plasma, blood, muscle, fat, bone, marrow and reproductive fluids.
